Our history
Foundation
2006
We were born out of academia and research. In 2006 we worked in the Bioengineering research group of the Pontifical Bolivarian University in Medellin - Colombia, there we started to develop solutions for the student, biomedical and industrial sectors.
IoT developments
2008
We develop Internet of Things (IoT) solutions tailored to our customers for the industrial sector and vehicle tracking.
Nx-Monitor
2010
We built the product Nx-Monitor, a real-time monitoring system for industrial variables, with transmission, and visualization from our web platform in the cloud.
We created ubidots.com
2012
In 2012, we created ubidots.com as a Netux Spin-off, splitting our Nx-Monitor platform as another company, in order to offer a world-class SaaS solution from IoT. Today Ubidots has over 48,000 users in more than 80 countries around the world.
Patent
2014
We were granted our first patent of invention, to protect the electronic devices of the real-time monitoring solutions. The same year the Netux | Health product suite is born; with the products: MiMonitor, MiLlamado, MiTurno.
NetuxLab
2016
We consolidated the research and development (R&D) operation as an independent business unit called NetuxLab, which is recognized as the first corporate IoT research group in Colombia by Colciencias.

2017
We consolidated the operation as Grupo Netux (Today Gnx) with more than 10 years of experience, 3 companies, with more than 250 institutional customers in Colombia, 30,000 deployed IoT systems, 2 invention patents and with our cloud platform (ubidots.com) reaching more than 48,000 users in more than 80 countries.
Nx3 Startup Factory
2018
We created Nx3 (Netux for Entrepreneurs) as the inorganic growth arm of Grupo Netux, implementing our Company Builder model, used in netux and ubidots. Now Grupo Netux (Gnx) is formed by: netux, ubidots and nx3.
Innovative
2019
Netux (A Gnx company) is recognized in the TOP 30 of Innovation in Colombia, as one of the most innovative companies in the country in 2019, according to the ranking prepared by the ANDI and Dinero magazine.
MyPatient
2020
In the year of the pandemic, we released our telemedicine solution, My Patient Teleconsultation , which enabled thousands of patients to access medical care without leaving the safety of their home.
ANDI Award
2021
Within the framework of the 6th Colombian Business Congress - CEC, the founders of Netux (Juan Velásquez and Sergio Marín) received the 17th ANDI (National Association of Industrialists) Award for the creation of a company in Colombia, for all the contribution made to society and industry from Netux.
Buy Tapptus
2022
Netux acquires Tapptus, an expert in digitalization of forms and automated workflows. With this transaction Netux consolidates its growth path by developing technology to improve the operation of the health sector in LATAM.
My Appointment
2023
We launched Mi Cita, an appointment scheduling tool for clinics and hospitals that reduces no-shows and improves the care experience of patients in healthcare institutions.
