The Colombian company Netux, dedicated to the development of technological solutions for healthcare, acquired Tapptus, a start-up expert in digitization of forms and automated workflows, which allows healthcare entities to digitally create an exact replica of their manual form or clinical record in minutes and deploy it in the cloud obtaining data in real time, achieving greater efficiency in their operation.

Tapptus technology, co-founded by Carolina Crispín and Jerson Suaza in 2013, has had a very high impact in recent years in the health sector, specifically in pre-hospital care programs APH and emergency medical systems SEM in Colombia.

Nurses, paramedics, doctors and assistants, capture the information of the care of an event in digital forms using mobile devices in an agile way and so they can devote most of their time to what really matters, the care of patients.

So far, they have registered thousands of patients who have been prioritized and transferred for their care and well-being, thanks to the digitization technology and real-time transmission of the information obtained in the field.

Virtual health, a key element for the future of healthcare

Tapptus is now part of the Netux | Cloud ecosystem of solutions designed to increase the efficiency of the operations of clinics, hospitals, CRUES emergency regulatory centers, ambulance companies, fire departments, insurance companies and health departments.

Today there is a very high percentage of institutions that attend patients in the field, such as ambulance companies that attend patients on public roads, health departments that carry out vaccination campaigns or primary health care in the communities, neighborhoods, patients' homes or educational institutions.

These entities keep their service records manually on traditional sheets and then make an additional effort to enter and standardize the data, which is very tiring and inefficient, and does not allow for real-time traceability of the operation.

Tapptus replaces the use of manual formats on physical sheets, such as pre-hospital records, medical histories, screenings, prescriptions, with digital forms with programmable and automated workflows using mobile devices (cell phones, tablets or a computer's web browser).

It also enables health institutions to have the capacity to control and monitor indicators in real time, associated with the care provided by health personnel in field days (extramural) in neighborhoods or educational institutions, and thus obtain timely information in digital form.

Sergio Marín, CEO of Netux, commented that the closing of the Tapptus acquisition will allow Netux to expand its product portfolio for the healthcare sector, creating and delivering value to entities that require management systems, traceability and automated workflows for their field operations.

"Thanks to this platform's technology, we will be able to add all of our clients' customer service formats to nxCloud and automate their workflows using digital forms that they have built themselves," adds Sergio Marín.
