With the purpose of serving the care of life, as well as the welfare and development of the community and the progress of humanity, Netux was born more than a decade ago, a technology company that operates in all technological issues in the health sector. Far from imagining that its founders, Juan Pablo Velásquez and Sergio Marín, would achieve such a dizzying growth through their nascent enterprise, which began once they finished their studies in Electronic Engineering at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. We talked with Sergio Marín, Executive Director, who detailed the work developed by his company, the importance of technology companies, as well as the growth of Netux, a company affiliated to Fenalco Antioquia.how did Netux begin?"The company emerged in a biomedical engineering research group, we saw the possibility of creating a company so that the research developments would not remain only in the university classrooms, but also reach the market. We started in 2006 designing and commercializing some electronic devices and it was in 2010 that we formally started operations".
"Netux today is a company that operates all the technological issues for the health sector, particularly we serve institutions that care for life, we work with clinics, hospitals, laboratories and insurers. What we do specifically is that we make the operation very efficient, in a very safe way, always having the patient at the center. So we offer technology to monitor the medical variables and vital signs of patients remotely, for example, when they are at home and need to be monitored, our technology allows them to do it remotely so that they do not necessarily have to be hospitalized. And in the event that the person is in a medical facility, we can also monitor and detect if at any time their health or safety is at risk, we detect if there is a fall, the medical variables of the patient in hospital, we take it to a cloud system for remote monitoring and thus attend to them in the best way".
"This type of companies are playing today the most important role in the global aspect in general in all industries, because they are transforming them, making their operation change completely, eliminating the barriers that they had before, for example, they thought a lot about scarcity and with technology what they are doing today is changing that mentality to think about abundance, how with technology they can have a much greater impact, make their operations more efficient, reach more users, have more customers. In our case, we intend to reach more people who take care of their lives, technology is very important because it unlocks all those processes that were previously very slow or limited and turns them into abundant or automated, or even many more scalable, allowing the operation of institutions in different industries to be exponential".
